How do you start a Toyota Auris?

I’ve been trying to locate my 2017 GMC Terrain’s battery for a little while so I can replace it. I’m pretty sure it’s under the hood but I can’t see it anywhere. Where would it be located?

I’ve been having trouble starting my 2006 Buick Lucerne, and a friend suggested I look at the battery terminals to see if they’re corroded. I popped the hood, but nothing looked like a battery. Is the battery in a Buick Lucerne located somewhere besides under the hood?

I work in the U.S. office of a large British multinational, and all my bosses are Brits. I’m trying to show off my British “bonafides” as I angle for a promotion. You see, I’m **dying** to buy the new Land Rover Defender. Thing is, I won’t be able to do that until I get…a promotion.
