How do you show proof of car insurance?
How do I show proof of insurance at the time of an accident? I got a ticket for not having insurance. I do have insurance, but the court is requiring that I show proof that I was insured on the ticket date.

Most carriers allow you to access this through your online account. The letter will state:
- the date you began your policy or began your coverage with them
- whether you are still currently insured or were insured on that date
If you are ever pulled over or in an accident in the future, it’s important to carry a copy of your current policy’s ID card or
declaration page
