How do you program a Toyota Sienna key?
I’ve been driving a 2008 Toyota Sienna for years without changing the key fob battery. I replaced the battery after it died, but now it doesn't work. I think I need to reprogram the key, but I don’t know how to. What’s the best way to program a Toyota Sienna key?

, but they make the car-owning experience much more pleasant. Luckily, key fobs are easy to reprogram when you know how to enter programming mode. - Step 1: Sit in the driver’s seat and open the driver’s side door.
- Step 2: Put the key in and out of the ignition two times without turning it.
- Step 3: Close the driver’s side door and open it two times.
- Step 4: Put the key in and out of the ignition once.
- Step 5: Close and open the driver’s side door two times.
- Step 6: Put your key in the ignition and close the driver’s side door.
- Step 7: Flip the ignition from on to off. At this point, the door locks should cycle.
- Step 8: Hold down the lock and unlock buttons on the key you want to program for 1.5 seconds.
- Step 9: Press the lock button. The door should lock!
- Step 10: Open the door to exit programming mode.
