How many electric cars are in Georgia?

More and more states seem to be ramping up their electric car incentives, and it’s got me considering buying an EV myself. I live in Georgia, and I just want some idea of the progress of EVs. How many electric cars are in Georgia?

Good question. There are about 24,400 registered electric cars in Georgia.
Not too long ago, Georgia was once a leading state for newly registered
electric vehicles.
The state now ranks 10th in the United States for the number of EVs on the road. Of the 24,400 electric cars currently in Georgia, one-third of them are in Fulton County.
Georgia’s decline in electric car sales may be due to the special fee for electric cars they have imposed. This fee ranges from $50 to $225 and could be scaring off motorists ready to trade in their fueled vehicles. The problem is that most motorists argue that these fees do not equate to what they would pay in fuel taxes, and it seems unfair.
However, Georgia still has ambitious goals to convert many vehicles to electric in the coming future. Still, there is one sure-fire way to protect your electric or fueled car.
