How do you install crossbars on a Honda Odyssey?
I’m going on a skiing trip soon, and I want to be able to store my skis and camping gear on the roof of my Honda Odyssey EX. I need to install crossbars to properly secure the skis and bags, but I have no idea how. What’s the easiest way to put crossbars on an Odyssey?

Honda Odyssey EX
isn’t too challenging and only requires a few tools.To install crossbars on a Honda Odyssey, you’ll need the following:
- Crossbars and installation hardware
- Ratchet
- Torque wrench
- T-30 Torx bit
Here’s what to do once you have your supplies:
- Remove the plastic screws from the roof rails on both sides of the vehicle
- Position the front crossbar with the predrilled holes
- Attach the front crossbar using four bolts, torquing them to 10 Nm or 7.4 pounds per foot
- Position the rear crossbar with the predrilled holes
- Attach the rear crossbar using the same torque
