First, you’ll need the vehicle identification number, or VIN, of the car you’re buying. The dealership can provide this information. You will need it in order to get an accurate rate when

from insurance companies.To estimate the price of your policy, insurers will also need your:

- Address
- Social Security number
- Driver’s license number
You’ll need to determine what coverage you need, too. If you are financing your car, your lender may require that you carry

on your policy, which together are often referred to as full coverage.
