How do you get a hardship license in Missouri?

Does Missouri give out hardship licenses for underage drivers who have a sick family member? I need to be able to go to the grocery store so I can take care of my dad but I’m not old enough to get a license yet.

I’m so sorry that you’re dealing with this! Unfortunately,
Missouri
only gives out hardship licenses to those whose driving privileges have been suspended, revoked, or denied. In order to get a hardship license, these individuals can submit an application to the Department of Revenue, or petition the circuit court in the county where they live or work.
While you can’t get a driving license, however, there are other options available to you:
  • Use rideshare services.
  • Take public transport.
  • Have your groceries delivered.
  • Talk to local charities about getting food delivered to your home.
Remember that you are not alone in this struggle, and there are people in your community who are willing to help you if you ask!

rate for your family. You can likely drop certain coverages if your mom isn’t driving right now, which could save you close to $900 per year.
