Does my driving license number change when I get married?
I’m getting married in 4 months but I just renewed my driver’s license last month. Will my license number change when I’m married or can I keep the new license?

Great question! When you get married, you’ll have to update the information on your driver’s license—but your driver’s license number itself will not change.
That said, if you want to change your name to your married last name, you’ll have to order a duplicate license and pay the associated fee. You can request a name change by visiting your local DMV office.
Here’s how you can change your name:
Visit your local DMV within 30 days of changing your name
Provide one of the following documents to verify your name change (they must be original documents): marriage license, divorce decree, annulment, Department of State Health Services marriage verification letter
Pay the fee
