How do you cancel State Farm home insurance?
I’m going to need to switch homeowners policy providers soon. How do you cancel State Farm home insurance?

To cancel your State Farm home insurance policy, you have a couple options: by mail or in person.
To cancel your policy by mail, send a letter to the following address with at least two weeks’ notice:

State Farm Insurance
One State Farm Plaza
Bloomington, IL 61710
That letter should include the following information, per State Farm’s website:
- Your name, address, and phone number
- Your policy number and the date you want the policy to end
- New insurer’s name, policy number, and start date (if applicable)
You can also cancel your policy in-person at your local insurance office. Make sure to be ready with the same information as listed above.
