How do you adjust the headlights on a 2003 Dodge Durango?
I’ve changed the headlight bulbs on my car, but I can tell the beams are out of adjustment when I drive at night. How do I adjust headlights on a 2003 Dodge Durango?

The good news is, if you’ve already replaced the bulbs, then adjusting the beams should be a piece of cake! To adjust the headlights on a 2003
Dodge Durango
:Start by parking your Durango on a level surface, about fifteen to twenty feet across from a wall. Make sure the knob on your dash for your headlights is set to zero.
Turn on your headlights, and mark where each one hits the wall with an “X” (you can use painter’s tape, for example, to mark the wall). Once you’ve got your markers in place, you can turn your car off and get under the hood. Then:
- Pop the hood
- Locate your car’s headlight assembly
- On the top and side of your car’s headlight assembly, you’ll find two adjustment screws
- The adjustment screw on top adjusts the vertical direction of your beams; the adjustment screw on the side adjusts the horizontal direction
- Use a standard screwdriver to adjust each screw accordingly (it may be easier to do this one at a time, using a cloth or rag to cover the opposite headlight)
Use your markers to adjust your beams to the desired position. And that’s it! Close the hood, test your headlights, and you’re good to drive.
