How much does a Ford Taurus SES weigh?

Long story short: I want to haul a small trailer on our upcoming family road trip, but I’m not sure my car can handle it. If I knew how much it weighed, I’d be better able to figure it out—so can you tell me how much a Ford Taurus SES weighs?

Depending on the year and trim level, the
Ford Taurus SES
weighs between 3,322 and 3,343 pounds. Almost all Taurus models have a towing capacity of about 1,000 pounds, but there’s a simple way you can figure yours out.
To figure out your car’s exact towing capacity, subtract its curb weight from its Gross Combined Vehicle Weight Rating (the maximum weight of the loaded car plus the trailer’s weight).
The Gross Vehicle Weight should be listed on the sticker inside your driver’s side doorjamb or in the owner’s manual, but you can always call the manufacturer if in doubt.
Before heading out for your road trip, make sure your vehicle is protected with the right insurance coverage.
