How do I reset the oil life on a 2006 Honda Accord?
The oil life reminder light keeps coming on in my 2006 Honda Accord and I’m sure it has to do with the oil life. How can I reset the oil life on my Accord?
, turn the key to the on position, press the trip button until you get to oil life, let go of the button, and hold again for about 10 seconds until the oil life resets.

Put the key in the ignition and turn it to the on position. Don’t start the engine.
Press the trip button on the right side of the instrument cluster until you reach the oil life setting on the cluster.
If you’re on Trip A, which is what the car starts on usually, press the trip button twice.
At this point, you should see the oil life percentage.
Hold the trip button for 10 seconds.
The instrument cluster where you see the oil life should flash.
Once it starts blinking, remove your finger from the trip button.
Hold the button again while it’s blinking and the reading should reset to 100%.
