How do I program a keyless entry remote on my Toyota?

I just bought a replacement remote for my 2009 Toyota Avalon. How do I program it to my car?

Great question! Programming a keyless entry remote to your

Avalon is a pretty simple process that takes less than five minutes.

Here’s how you do it:

Turn on accessory mode. Do this twice within 5 seconds.

Within 40 seconds, open and close the driver’s door twice.

Insert and take the key out of the ignition one more time.

Make sure to complete the entire sequence in under 40 seconds.

You should hear the power locks cycle three times to indicate that you’re in remote programming mode.

Press any button on the remote fob to program the key to your car.

Just like that, you’ve programmed a new keyless entry remote to your Toyota!
