I just bought a replacement remote for my 2009 Toyota Avalon. How do I program it to my car?

Great question! Programming a keyless entry remote to your
Toyota
Avalon is a pretty simple process that takes less than five minutes.
Here’s how you do it:
  • Turn on accessory mode. Do this twice within 5 seconds.
  • Within 40 seconds, open and close the driver’s door twice.
  • Insert and take the key out of the ignition one more time.
  • Make sure to complete the entire sequence in under 40 seconds.
  • You should hear the power locks cycle three times to indicate that you’re in remote programming mode.
  • Press any button on the remote fob to program the key to your car.
Just like that, you’ve programmed a new keyless entry remote to your Toyota!
