Knowing the length of your truck bed is key to purchasing the right tonneau cover with a snug fit. Here’s how to measure your truck bed for a tonneau cover:
- Stand behind your truck and lower the tailgate
- Expand your tape measurer from the end of the bed to the cab wall
- Take your measurement at the end of the bed
- Convert your measurement from inches to feet
Tonneau manufacturers typically round off the length of the cover to an even number so your truck bed measurement should be within a few inches of the cover length.
