How do I play music through Bluetooth in my BMW?
I just bought a used BMW. It doesn’t have Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, but the seller reassured me that I could definitely use Bluetooth and my phone to play music. I’m just not sure how to do it. What steps do I need to take to play music through Bluetooth in my BMW?

Even if your BMW doesn’t have Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, Bluetooth is a great way to play music in your BMW. To utilize this feature, just follow these simple steps:
- Turn on Bluetooth on your phone.
- Select the communications menu on the BMW screen.
- Scroll down to manage mobile devices.
- Select connect new device.
- Select telephone.
- Your phone information should appear on the screen.
- Select the name that pops up on the BMW screen on your phone.
- Press OK on the head unit.
- Press OK on your phone.
- Your phone will automatically connect to the system for streaming audio.
- Go back into your phone and select the track(s) you want.
- You should hear the audio on your sound system.
