How do I open the gas tank on a BMW 530e?
My boss wants me to put gas in her BMW, but I can’t figure out how to open the tank. Is there a button somewhere?

BMW 530e
doesn’t actually have a gas tank release button. To open the gas tank door, simply press gently on the top corner, and it should pop open!There is an incredibly important detail, however—your vehicle must be in Park and unlocked. The minute you shift your car into Drive or lock the doors, the gas tank door will lock, too.
Once you get the gas tank door open, the rest is simple! Twist the cap to the left to remove it, add gas to the tank, and replace the cap by twisting it to the right until it clicks into place. Press the door shut, and you’re all set!
If you are unable to open the gas door by following the directions above, there’s likely some sort of malfunction. Contact a professional mechanic or your local BMW dealership for assistance.
