The XKR-S was introduced during the 2011 model year, and had an upgraded XKR supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine capable of a massive 542 horsepower, 502 pound-feet of torque, and a top speed of 186 miles per hour. A production number shy of 50 vehicles is a commonly reported number for the 2013 XKR-S GT.
However, an earlier 2009 XKR-S was a very different vehicle: a special-edition XKR coupe for European buyers. This model had a 4.2-liter V8 engine and a top speed of around 174 miles per hour. Apparently, around 200 of this model may have been made.
