Highlander key fob, you will need a flat-head screwdriver.
If you drive a newer Highlander, your key fob may have a tiny switch at the back or bottom to release the internal key. If you drive an older Highlander, you only need a flat-head screwdriver.
Now, insert the tip of your flat-head screwdriver into the tiny slot between the two plastic halves. Gently twist to open the fob and access the battery compartment. Now you can replace the battery—and hopefully solve your key fob problem!
