Getting insurance for your first car might seem like an intimidating process, but it’s actually easier than you think!
Just follow these simple steps:
Contact your dealership. When you have decided on the car you want, your first step should be to contact your dealership. They can provide you with the following information, which you’ll need in order to get an accurate quote:
  • Vehicle identification number
  • Current mileage
  • Make and model
  • Trim level
  • Vehicle history

insurance quote
. Next, you’ll want to shop around for quotes. Provide information specific to your car (outlined above), as well as your personal details.
The easiest way to get quotes fast is through the
Jerry
app. Jerry will shop over 50 major insurers and deliver cheap quotes directly to your phone in minutes—for free.
Select and pay for your policy. Choose the policy and price that best suits your needs, then go ahead and buy it. Once that’s done, your insurance company will provide confirmation of your new insurance. You can bring that confirmation with you to the dealership or have the company deliver it to the dealership directly.
Enjoy your new ride. At this stage, all that’s left to do is to buy your new car. You’ll be legally allowed to drive it off the lot now that you’re fully insured.
Congrats and remember to drive safely!
