How do I download a copy of my car insurance?

I lost the email that my car insurance sent me. How do I download a copy of my policy and ID card?

To download a copy of your
car insurance
policy and ID cards, reach out to your insurance company directly. When calling, ask them for a copy of your
insurance declaration page
and ID cards.
You can also access a copy of this through your online account or mobile app. Most insurance companies now provide access to your policy documents electronically. If you need a hard copy, you can print it out directly from there. If you need a copy mailed, you may have to call them.
You can also check with your state to see if they allow electronic insurance documents. Some states now allow proof of insurance to be shown electronically. If you have your ID card or proof of insurance on your phone, you would be able to use that as proof.
