Changing windshield wipers on a new
car
may take some adjustment from what you’re used to, but the process is roughly the same. Here is a guide to changing windshield wipers on a Nissan Murano:- Measure the current windshield wipers on the car and buy new ones of the same lengths.
- Turn the wipers on and then turn them off when they are positioned at the midway point on the windshield.
- Lift the wipers off and away from the windshield. Remember to put down cardboard or a mat beneath the wipers to protect your windshield.
- Note which wiper length goes in which position and remove the old wipers. There should be a small hook attachment and a button or latch to lift and slide the old wipers off.
- Slide the new wipers into the same hook attachments and push until they are locked in place.
- Double-check the attachments to make sure everything is secure, lower the wipers back down to the windshield and take care of the packaging material and old wipers.
