How can I get my insurance cards?
How can I get my insurance ID card before buying a new car? I am going to pick my new car up from the dealership today! My policy was updated last night and the dealer said I need to bring my insurance card with me so they can release the car.

To make picking up your car a quick transaction, you will want to bring
proof of insurance
with you, rather than wait for it to be faxed or emailed to the dealership while you are there.Since you made the change to your policy last night, the ID card has probably already been emailed to you as
proof of insurance
. If not, most major insurance carriers will allow you to request an ID card through their app and email it to you in seconds. The other option is to call the carrier directly and ask for an email.
Other carriers will send a digital ID card that can be stored on your phone. You can print a screenshot of it for your dealer.”
