canceling your Progressive renters insurance
policy is straightforward. You can call Progressive direct—at 1-888-671-4405—or connect via chat. Before you cancel your renters insurance policy, however, consider the following points.
You may be entitled to a refund, but you may also be charged a cancellation fee. Yes, if you pay your renters policy annually and are canceling before the contract is up, you’re entitled to a prorated refund. However, Progressive may deduct a small fee for canceling the policy early.
Check the dates to make sure your
homeowners policy
takes effect before your renters insurance ends. It may be tempting to end your renters insurance immediately, but that would leave your personal property unprotected.
