renters insurance policy. To cancel your USAA renters insurance, you’ll need to either call USAA directly or go online through the app or website. If you call, you’ll need to provide the agent with:
- Your name
- Policy number
- Address
- Effective cancellation date
Before you cancel, be sure you give the date your lease ends or your move-out date. You don’t want to remove coverage before you’ve moved out, just in case something happens.
Additionally, if you’re canceling mid-term and paid in full for the year, you’ll want to inquire about a potential refund for any unused premiums. You may be eligible for a partial refund.
