How do I cancel my Admiral car insurance online?

My policy with Admiral for my brand-new car only started a week ago, but since then I've realized that a couple other providers would offer me much better deals, and I'd like to switch. How do I go about canceling my Admiral car insurance (online, if possible)?

Good news! Not only can you cancel online through their web chat function, but if you cancel before your first 14 days, you won’t be charged nearly as much.
You may have to pay a setup and cancellation fee, as well as a fee that will range from £25 to £125 depending on what kind of coverage you have.
If you find that you are outside of the 14 day time frame, the fees can be quite a bit more. The Admiral charges fees for:
  • Setup and cancellation costs
  • Time on cover
  • The type of vehicle your policy currently covers (ranging from £55 to £155)
  • Any motor Policy Upgrades (a £5 fee).
Switching providers
can be a hassle, but remember that it’s always better to switch sooner, rather than later.
