Congratulations on the new Honda Civic LX
! Learning all the ins and outs of a new vehicle can undoubtedly be a challenge, and it’s even more difficult if you aren’t accustomed to the manufacturer. The good news is that to turn on the high beams in a Honda Civic, you will just need to push or pull a lever.
If you own an older vehicle or want to manually turn on the high beams, you should push the switch lever forward. To turn off or flash your high beams, pull the switch lever back.
If you’re not sure what the switch lever is, it’s the turn signal lever located on the lefthand side of the steering wheel.
If you own a newer Honda Civic, you can use the auto high beam setting to remove the hassle of having to switch them on and off. To turn on the auto high beam setting, make sure the headlight control at the end of the switch lever is set to auto, and then pull and hold the switch lever for 30 seconds or until the indicator light on the dashboard flashes once.
To turn off the auto high beam setting, pull and hold the switch lever for 40 seconds or until the indicator flashes twice. Hopefully, this helps so you aren’t stuck on a dark, rural road without high beams again!
