What is the Nevada speed limit?

I’m headed to Las Vegas for a bachelorette party, but afterward, a friend and I are going on a road trip throughout the rest of Nevada. I have a bit of a heavy foot when I’m driving, so I want to know what the speed limits are before I get behind the wheel. What is the speed limit in Nevada?

If you’re going to venture beyond Sin City, take note that the
Nevada
speed limit is a maximum of 80 mph. This speed limit only pertains to certain stretches of rural interstate, so keeping an eye on the posted limit is essential to avoid a speeding ticket.
Other than the 80 mph maximum, the other speed limits in Nevada are as follows:
  • 70 mph to 75 mph on some rural interstates
  • 65 mph to 75 mph on rural stretches of Nevada State Highway
  • 55 mph to 65 mph on urban stretches of interstate
  • 55 mph to 75 mph on two-lane rural roads
  • 30 mph in rural areas and business districts unless otherwise posted
  • 15 mph to 25 mph in school zones
