Progressive
is a popular company partially because they make changes to your policy fast and easy. You can remove a car from your policy by calling them or going online.
You can use your online account or the mobile app to remove vehicles. However, if the vehicle you’re removing from your policy is the only one on it, you’ll need to call the company directly.
Without a vehicle to insure, your
car insurance
policy would need to be canceled. Many companies don’t allow online cancellations, so you’d need to call them.
However, be aware that canceling your policy without a new policy in place will trigger a
lapse of coverage
. A lapse can impact your future rates, as insurance companies use prior insurance coverage as a rating factor when pricing your policy.
If you’re looking for new insurance or a way to save money on your premium, go to
Jerry
. The Jerry app will generate competitive quotes from top providers in less than a minute. Jerry gathers your information from your past insurer, so you’re not responsible for any long forms or phone calls.
Basically, you get all of the savings and coverage, with none of the hassles.”
