Does the Mercedes-Benz CLA250 have any active recalls?
A friend recently received a recall letter in the mail, and since we drive the same car, I’m a little nervous. I haven’t received any notifications about my vehicle (yet), but what are the recalls on the Mercedes-Benz CLA250?

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and RepairPal, there have been numerous recalls issued for various Mercedes-Benz
CLA250
models manufactured between 2014 and 2021. But that’s a pretty big range in terms of model years (and a hefty number of recalls), so let’s take a closer look at some of the most recent recalls on this luxury coupe:
- Emergency Call System: In certain CLA250 models made between 2017 and 2021, a recall has been issued for a fault in the vehicle’s emergency call system, which could potentially prevent drivers from using the system (and receiving emergency care) in the event of a crash.
- Power Steering Assist Failure: Some 2020 CLA250 models have been recalled for a fault in the power supply connected to the vehicle’s power steering assist, which could result in a sudden loss of steering control.
- Loss of Steering Control: Certain CLA250 models made in 2017 have been recalled due to a failing steering shaft joint bearing that can cause a sudden loss of steering control, increasing the risk of an accident.
- Front Roof Panel: Certain CLA250 models made in 2014, 2017, 2018, and 2019 have been recalled due to the potential for the front roof panel to detach from the vehicle while driving.
