Does the Chevrolet Astro have a manual transmission?

What kind of transmission is in the Chevrolet Astro? I found a used one that I like, but I don’t want it if it has a manual transmission.

The

Chevrolet Astro

was equipped with an automatic transmission for most of its production history, but there were a few Astros produced from 1986 to 1988 that had manual transmissions. Since these vehicles are so rare, however, it is unlikely that you’ll find one listed without mentioning the manual transmission.

Even if the Astro you found has an automatic transmission, however, it’s still really important to test drive your new car before you take it home. The Astro was discontinued after 2005, so any used Chevy Astros that you find will be at least 17 years old!
