has begun to offer some incentives for EV drivers and future buyers in order to encourage more people to invest in an electric vehicle
. NV Energy, an energy savings company, has a variety of programs that help both residential and commercial customers save on energy costs.
The Residential Single-family charging incentives allow for NV Energy customers to have a level 2 charger installed with up to 75% off the installation costs up to $500. Drivers can apply on NV Energy website This incentive program is only available to the first 1,000 customers who apply.
NV Energy customers are also eligible for reduced time-of-use (TOU) charging rates when they charge their vehicle during off-peak hours (10:01 pm to 8 am). The TOU rates are not isolated to your EV, but during these hours customers would have a reduced rate on the electricity for their entire home. After you sign up online, NV Energy offers a risk-free, one-year trial.
