Does Jeep have a hybrid SUV?
I’ve owned several Jeep vehicles over my lifetime, and I’d like to buy another one in the next few months. My only issue is that they’re gas guzzlers and don’t offer the fuel economy or lower emissions that I want in a vehicle. Does Jeep finally offer a hybrid SUV?

Although the Detroit-based company was a bit of an industry laggard, Jeep finally has a hybrid SUV for both the
Wrangler
and Grand Cherokee
models. Known as 4xe models, these hybrids debuted in the 2021 model year and provide added fuel economy without damaging the looks, appeal, and off-road capabilities that have made Jeep famous.Even with the hybrid powertrain, both models still provide an amazing amount of power and fuel economy. The Jeep Wrangler 4xe offers:
- Plug-in hybrid capabilities
- All-electric range of 21 miles
- 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque
- 49 MPGe (miles per gallon equivalent)
- 3,500 pounds of towing capacity
The Grand Cherokee 4xe continues to carry the torch with:
- Plug-in hybrid capabilities
- All-electric range of 26 miles
- 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque
- 56 MPGe
- 6,000 pounds of towing capacity
