A tier above the Sahara is the Rubicon, which is meant to handle difficult off-road situations. It includes 33-inch all-terrain tires. The most expensive Wrangler 4xe model is the Sahara High Altitude, which offers different paint scheme options.
Price increases for the Wrangler 4xe
When the Jeep Wrangler 4xe initially hit the market, a standard Sahara model cost $49,490, according to Car and Driver. However, the vehicle now starts at $51,025 not including the $1,495 destination charge. This increase also impacts the Rubicon and the Sahara High Altitude models.
Jeep has not yet given a reason for the increased price of the hybrid Wrangler. However, the brand claims that the 4xe is currently the best-selling plug-in hybrid in the country. This might contribute to the added cost.
