If I get my insurance through GEICO, can I get a discount for taking a defensive driving class? It was recommended to me by a friend because my rates have gone up due to some tickets on my record.

has a defensive driving discount of 5% or 10% available to drivers who complete a GEICO-approved defensive driving course.

You can find approved courses online by visiting GEICO’s website. Depending on where you live, you might have to pay between $15 to $25 for one of these classes, but you’ll save at least that much over time by taking one of these courses and keeping your driving record clean.
