Does a cold air intake void the warranty from Chevy?
I’m a bit of a gearhead, so I wanted to increase the power of my Chevy by adding a cold air intake. However, I’m a bit nervous that doing so will void the warranty. Will I void the warranty if I add a cold air intake to my Chevy vehicle?

Mod away! Adding a cold air intake to your Chevy vehicle will not void the warranty, provided that it’s professionally installed, you keep your receipts, and the mod doesn’t affect any other parts of the vehicle.
Thanks to the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act of 1975, companies cannot void a warranty on a vehicle or any other product due to modifications that don’t impact other components of the vehicle. While a cold air intake should improve performance in terms of speed and fuel economy, a properly installed one shouldn’t alter or affect any of the original components.
