Turo can make renting a high-end vehicle quick, easy, and affordable. However, their fees and application process can sometimes be a bit confusing, especially when it comes to security deposits. Turo’s security system automatically applies a security deposit and there is no pre-defined security deposit for a Deluxe Class car if you’re over 30 years old.
However, just because there is no blanket policy affecting you does not mean you won’t have to pay a security deposit. There are times when no deposit is required, but it is handled on a case-by-case basis after Turo’s security system reviews the trip details.
The best way to determine if you have to pay a security deposit and how much it will be is to start booking a rental and look at the checkout page before purchase. Turo lists the security deposit on a separate line while checking out to avoid any unexpected charges.
