If they require you to carry renters insurance, they typically require you to show proof to them that you are carrying this coverage. An easy way to show proof to your landlord is to list them as an “”additional interest”” or “”interested party”” on the policy. This means that they will be notified by mail if the policy is active, if it has been canceled, or if it has been renewed at the end of your term.
