I’m taking my family on a cross-country road trip in our RV, and we want to bring our 2020 Honda CR-V along for easy driving once we get the RV parked. Can we flat tow it?

is approved by Honda for flat towing at speeds up to 65 mph. To get your CR-V ready to ride behind your RV, you’ll need to do the following:

While your CR-V’s engine is idling, press the brake pedal and move the shift lever through all its positions

Shift the transmission to drive and hold for five seconds

Now shift to neutral and let it idle in neutral for three minutes

You must follow the steps outlined above and repeat them after 8 hours of continuous towing to avoid seriously damaging your transmission.
