Can I get insurance for mechanical issues on a high-mileage Chevy Trax?
I'm eyeing a Chevy Trax with 200,000 miles that's been well maintained. My concern is that it's never had any mechanical issues, so it might be on the verge of a major breakdown. Can I get car insurance that covers engine, transmission, or other major repairs?

or full coverage won’t cover mechanical issues unless the damage happens as the result of an accident or act of God.You’re thinking of a third-party extended warranty. You can purchase one from a provider to fix mechanical issues from wear and tear. However, few of these companies, if any, will provide coverage to a car with 200,000 miles.
The best (and cheapest) idea here is to keep a strict maintenance schedule and drive the Trax until it’s ready for the junkyard. With any luck, you can get another 50,000 or more miles out of it.
