Do I need a 2014 Silverado OEM battery?
How important is it that I find an exact match when replacing my 2014 Silverado’s car battery? I’ve been looking for ages and I can’t seem to find the same exact model. Could I use a slightly different battery or would that cause problems?

If you can’t find one, or if you’d prefer a more affordable battery, there are plenty of other options.The most important thing is that you pick a replacement battery that will fit. If your 2014 Silverado is an LT trim package, then you’ll need a battery from size group H6 (12.063 in. long x 6.875 in. wide x 7.563 in. tall).
If you have a standard trim package, you’ll need an H7-size battery (12.375 in. long x 6.875 in. wide x 7.5 in. tall). For any trim level, you’ll need a battery that produces 730 CCA, at the very least.
