Can a car loan have a different name on it than the name on the car title?

“The answer to this question is…sort of. If your wife’s name is on the title, lenders will probably require her to be on the car loan as well.
If you want to pay for the car loan, simply put both of your names on it and the lender should be able to approve it.”
