Your feelings are correct! In most cases, oil leaks are covered under the Ford powertrain warranty. Since your Ford is new, it should still be well within the five-year period covered by this part of your warranty.
However, your powertrain warranty will not cover oil leaks in the following cases:
- Oil leak is due to wear and tear
- Oil leak is a result of aftermarket modifications
