What's the difference between mobile home insurance and manufactured home insurance?

I've heard of insurance for both mobile homes and manufactured homes. What's the difference between the two, if any?

Great question! Most companies do not make a distinction between mobile home insurance and manufactured home insurance, and sales of these policies are typically handled by one department.
Mobile home and manufactured home insurance are actually very similar and in the same family. This type of insurance offers the same coverages as for a regular dwelling. For example, mobile and manufactured home insurance offers coverage for the home itself, your personal property inside the home, and your liability.
Mobile and manufactured home insurance also offers optional coverage for trip collision. Mobile and manufactured homes can be moved to different locations, so trip collision coverage is important if a home gets damaged during a move.
