battery in a battery compartment contained within the engine compartment under your Chevy’s hood. To get to it, follow these steps:- Pop the hood of your vehicle
- Locate your battery cover. This will be toward the front on the driver’s side of the engine bay, just ahead of the fuse box.
- Remove the battery cover.
With the plastic cover off, you should have full access to your Equinox’s battery.
