Are two-door cars are more expensive to insure than four-door cars?
I'm trying to decide whether to buy a two-door or four-door Nissan Altima. I've heard that two-door cars are more expensive to insure than four-door cars. Is this true, and if so, why?

The cost of insurance really depends on the vehicle — what features it has, how expensive the parts are, and how much it costs to fix the car. I haven’t noticed this trend myself, but it could have to do with the safety features of the cars. Typically, you have more airbags and safety features in a four-door than you do in a two-door.
