Do electric cars have portable chargers?
I bought an electric car a few months ago and I’ve been super happy with it so far. Next week, though, I’m driving up to rural Montana to visit my family and I’m worried that there won’t be lots of charging stations on my drive. Is there a portable charger that I can buy for my electric car in case I run out of battery power?

It’s great that you’re thinking ahead—on long road trips, range anxiety is real! Fortunately, electric cars can use portable chargers, so hopefully that will alleviate some of your stress.
Here are a couple of great portable charges for electric vehicles (EVs).
Blink portable charger: If you find yourself stranded on the roadside in rural Montana, Blink’s new portable charger can provide the peace of mind that you’re looking for. It’s the size of a suitcase and charges at nearly a mile a minute, so 30 minutes of charging should get you the range you need.

ZipCharge Go portable charger: The ZipCharge Go aims to be a more affordable option for

. Upon its release later this year, you’ll be able to lease the ZipCharge Go for $67 a month.It will come in two different sizes, 4 kWh and 8 kWh, and will connect to your phone—so it’s always ready to go when you need it!
Remember, if you’re really worried about running out of range, you can design your route around available charging stations. That way, you won’t have to wonder where your next stop will be.
