Radio codes are important—but you might not always need yours to get your radio working again. Before you search for the code, try pressing and holding down the radio power button for two seconds. Sometimes, this is all it takes to reset your radio.
Otherwise, you’ll need the 5-digit code itself, which is typically printed on a sticker located inside your glove compartment or on your owner’s manual. Keep your eyes peeled for labeling that reads “Anti-Theft Radio Code” (or something similar). Remember, the code you’re looking for is just five numerical digits—anything longer, or that involves letters or symbols, isn’t the right code.
How to look up a 2008 Honda Odyssey radio code
Let’s say you got your car used, and there’s not a sticker in sight, nor an owner’s manual to be found. What then? You might be feeling doomed to spend the rest of your days driving your Odyssey in silence—but don’t be! There’s still another way to look up your radio code: all you need is your vehicle identification number (VIN) and radio serial number.
Your 17-digit VIN can be found on your insurance and registration cards and is probably also stamped to the lower left-hand side of your windshield. It’s also printed on all your Honda financial services bills—there are a lot of places you can check!

Start by holding down all six of your radio preset buttons
While still holding the buttons down, turn your key to the ON position. This should start up your vehicle’s electrical components without actually firing up the car itself
Keep an eye on the radio display: after a few seconds, a 10-digit serial number should appear
Jot those numbers down, and have them handy while you navigate to Honda’s online search tool
to search for your actual radio code. You may also need to enter your zip code, phone number, and email address.
