What is the fastest Mercedes SUV?

On a recent trip to my (now former) friend’s Wyoming ranch, I had a brush with death after somehow finding myself in an enclosed pen with a herd of pigs. Yes, he did say not to go in there, but the gate was unlocked so I sauntered in—what possibly could go wrong? Anyway, turns out pigs can be very aggressive. Since then, I’ve decided to embrace life and my love of speed—when I can walk again, that is. What is the fastest Mercedes SUV?

The fastest
Mercedes
SUV is the 2022 AMG GLE63 S 4Matic, which rockets from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 4.2 seconds. You’ll outrun most other SUVs on the road in this thing—not to mention most herds of angry pigs.
Of course, with a starting price of $116,850 the fastest Mercedes SUV on the road won’t come cheap. But spending all that dough (because you only live once, right?) gets you plenty of gobsmacking power.
The AMG GLE63 S 4Matic boasts a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine and 603 horsepower, along with 627 pound-feet of torque. It’s mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission, features Mercedes’ 4Matic all-wheel drive, and is a mild hybrid, as well.
The only real downside to the Mercedes SUV is that it positively swills fuel. Its fuel efficiency registers just 15 mpg in the city and 19 mpg on the highway for 17 mpg combined.
