# of bolts x diameter of the circle they form

This indicates that the Ram 1500’s wheels have five bolts or lugs each, forming a 5.5-inch diameter circle.

Pretty simple right? However, you need a little more information before changing out your wheels. You also need to know the following specifications:

Factory wheel size: 17”, 20”, & 22”

Stud size: M14 x 1.5

Offset: -44 to 25 mm

Center bore: 77.8 mm

Wheel tightening torque: 160 - 190 Nm

How to measure your Ram 1500’s bolt pattern

This is easy to do, all you need is a measuring tape. If you don’t have one on hand, a ruler or fabric tape will work just as well.

Select a bolt and measure from the outer edge of the lug to the center of an opposite bolt. Since there are an odd number of bolts, we know there isn’t one directly across, just choose the center of either one on the side.

That measurement gives you the diameter. Paired with the number of bolts, you have your Ram 1500 bolt pattern!
