Uninsured motorist coverage
covers damage to your vehicle or injuries when you’re in an accident with an uninsured driver. Depending on where you live, this is often a requirement for state minimum car insurance
. Without uninsured motorist coverage, your insurance won’t cover damages. You may be able to file a lawsuit against the uninsured driver for the damage done to your vehicle.
